VMware will acquire SpringSource for approximately $362 million in cash and equity plus the assumption of approximately $58 million of unvested stock and options.
There is nothing bad in getting paid for the work you do. It is even better to get paid a lot. Congratulations!

Agreed. Congrats to Rod, Juergen, Thomas, and all of the other Java superstars at SpringSource. You worked hard, built a great product, and were able to sell it for a quite a chunk of money. Nicely done.
